Bhaktivedanta Gurukulam
The idea of Vedic Gurukulam was first conceived by His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (an Indian spiritual teacher and the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, commonly known as the “Hare Krishna Movement”). He said, “The old system of Gurukulam should be revived as the perfect example of a system designed to produce great men, sober and responsible leaders, who know what is the real welfare of the citizens."
Our Vision
Inspired by the vision of Swami Prabhupada, a group of devotees came forward to beg land from Tribal of Forest based ancient village of Kutam (10 km inside the woods in Silli Tribal belt, Ranchi). The Area was protected from Elephants & Tigers owing to expansive Sand bed of Svarnrekha river. It was superstitiously believed that witches used to kill people and villagers used to migrate from one side of river to the other."
Our Mission
To shape Bhaktivedanta Gurukulam (BVG) from scratch, His Grace Das Gadadhar Prabhu had to struggle very hard. Soon after sometime, many devotees from all over India appreciated them wholeheartedly for their back-breaking efforts and affectionately joined hand to support this great cause.
